Why do weekends get away from me so badly?

This guy is finally done. I was hoping to finish him Friday but I finally snuck in some painting time today.

Funny thing is, Russ's aunt has a horse she adores named Doc that she can't ride anymore and offered him to me. He's a quarter horse and that was all I knew. Well, they sent me pictures this past week and oddly enough, he looks quite a bit like this fellow. I'm excited to go out there and meet him some time soon.

And, just a sketch for the painting I'm working on next, which will be called "True Grits". There's a really cool story that goes with this one, which I will tell in the course of painting it, so stay tuned!
